What will happen at my first visit?
Please assist us at the time of your initial visit to the office by providing the following information:
- Your referral slip and x-rays from your referring dentist.
- A list of medications you are currently taking (included with your patient registration and medical history form).
- If you have dental insurance, please bring any forms or insurance cards with you to the appointment.
We will review the medical and dental health history and complete a thorough examination to measure for bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, TMJ and other signs of periodontal disease.

Russell C. Holpuch, DDS, MSD | Implant Dentistry in Redding, CA

Dr. Russell C. Holpuch's professional training and background include four years of general dentistry and more than 20 years in periodontics. He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1979. In 1985, Dr. Holpuch received his Master's Degree in Periodontology at the University of Minnesota, followed by four years as a staff periodontist in San Diego with the last year spent as head of the Periodontal Department at Balboa Naval Hospital. In 1988, he achieved his highest academic goal of obtaining Board Certification and maintains his status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is continually updating his skills and knowledge by attending continuing education courses from renowned educators in the field. Dr. Holpuch also is the Director of an advanced restorative and dental implant study group for local dentists called the Redding Advanced Dental Studies Forum (RADSF).

This group is affiliated with the Seattle Study Club, a national and international organization that provides continuing education and extensive treatment planning opportunities.
Dr. Holpuch has lived and practiced periodontics in Redding since 1989. He and his wife, Mary, have four children. His oldest son, works as a computer engineer in Chico and the other three attend California colleges.
From the moment you walk in the office, you will know what makes Russ tic: fly fishing, river floats, Labrador Retrievers and hunting with family and friends. His main problem seems to be finding time to do it all.
